Mrs. Bissell, originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, moved to Huntsville, Alabama with her husband and family in 1987.  She continued her University of Wyoming undergraduate studies and received  a B.S.Ed. degree in 1991 with certification in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Athens State College.

Mrs. Bissell was initially hired at Holy Sprit School as a first and second grade teacher's aide in 1992 and continued in that capacity through 1994. During this time she enhanced her professional skills by teaching first grade physical education and second grade social studies. In 1994 she accepted the position of Kindergarten teacher and has continued in this capacity to this date.

While not teaching Mrs. Bissell enjoys reading, crafts and word games. She also enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
