Mrs. Simmons holds a B.A. in general science education with concentrations in Biology and Physics from Auburn University.  She began teaching high school science in the public schools in 1987 and has enjoyed teaching at Holy Spirit School since 2000.

Her favorite pastimes include playing bells with the Good Shepherd Chancel Chimes, camping, spending time with her family and reading.
