INTRODUCTION

Welcome to all who wish to learn about Holy Spirit School in
Huntsville, Alabama. We hope your visit to our website is pleasant
and informative.

Holy Spirit School was founded in 1960. Originally, Sisters of Mercy
staffed the school. In 1989, our school was severely damaged by a
tornado. Through many months and hours of dedication, it was
re-built. In 1996 the catholic community needs increased and a
decision to double all grades was made. The 2002-2003 school year
marked the completion of doubling through the eighth grade. We
now have over 430 students!

Education to the Christian way is a life-long process. Holy Spirit
School is a service to our children by being a believing community.
Our students are respected and loved as unique children of God.
Each has special gifts and talents, as well as special needs. Our
students require and obtain personalized attention. Our focus is to
help our students grow in relationships with God, others, self and the
world!!
